The Guardian and the Manchester Evening News have ended their life-long associations with Manchester.
Guardian Media Group has sold the Evening News and associated weekly newspapers to Trinity Mirror, which will see the MEN Media office off Deansgate closed and staff moved to Trinity’s site near Chadderton, Oldham.

I did my best to immerse myself as much as I could in local culture and history. I really should say “No, it’s great” but I’d be fibbing as I don‘t know if it‘s good or not. If you read it in the next few weeks then you will be the same as me as I have not read it. When I closed each chapter I usually accompanied it with a “Woo-hoo” to signify that I’d thought I’d got it. If it didn‘t get a “Woo-hoo” then it didn‘t feel right to close it.
