Saturday’s CYCM sees the return of the ever popular Westwells tater ash, cheese & onion pies and wimberry charlottes.

The veggie hotdog kettle makes its bow for the season and there’ll be a selection of treats from the Prestwich pizzeria. We’ll also have a selection of cakes from the Stu from the Baykerie.

DJ Pace will be providing the tunes as well as the second instalment of the ’Taking you round the corner’ gameshow. Can you spot the Rushall reality from the Rushall fiction? £1 to enter.

On display will be the story of the Outcasts, to mark the anniversary of the day in 1909 when the Manchester United team played in their first match of the season against Bradford City wearing union arm-bands, having been prominent over that summer in the battle for players’ rights. The display, produced in conjunction with Salford’s Working Class Movement Library, concludes with skipper Charlie Roberts’s quote ‘ Try and remember that union is strength, and that without it you can do nothing’.

See you in the regular spot from noon.
