Josephine: From Malcs to Jools…

Submitted by on October 23, 2012 – 3:40 pmNo Comment

Cheetham Hill’s lovely Josephine Oniyama is doing alright. She performed at FC United’s Course You Can Malcolm event last season and is on Later with Jools Holland this week.

One of the Malcolms’ main heads described her thus: ‘as lovely as you would imagine she would be…’ I think he fell a bit in love.

Watch her on Tuesday at 10pm on BBC 2, alongside Bloc Party, Dionne Warwick, Alt-J and Alice Cooper. The same lot will be on again on Friday night at 11.50pm on BBC2.

She has a new album out, called Portrait, which is mint, and she will be playing The Castle on Oldham Street for some folky do or other soon.

Furthermore, you can catch her at the Ritz on November 14 when she supports The Noisettes, or at the Academy supporting Ridrigo & Gabriella on King Eric’s Day (November 26).

She will also be supporting Paloma Faith on her nationwide tour next year, which includes a couple of dates at the Apollo.

Get her album, including limited vinyl issues, from the usual record gaffs.

Have we mentioned she is nice yet?
