Exile Parade at The Factory

Despite the title, this is not another tub-thumping political rant against the establishment, it’s a gig in town on Friday night that you could do worse than attend.

Exile Parade are a rock and roll band from Warrington, or Wazza as the locals know it, the strange town straddling the no-man’s land between Manchester and Liverpool. They take influences from both cities and mix them together with a bit of early Manics and even a touch of the MC5. They sound like they’re having a good time and who can argue with that?

Their debut album, fettled by Owen Morris of Oasis production fame, is mint and they’re hoping to release it in a couple of months. So catch them while you can. It’s £4 in and there’s three bands on in total. For those living with their heads in the oven, FAC251 The Factory is where Factory Records offices used to be and what was once the Paradise Factory.

AFL’s music man Mig Miggles is making the brews for anyone who wants one. No tepid milkies…
