Mirror plugs FC United “Megacabin”

Submitted by on January 18, 2010 – 12:27 pmNo Comment

It would seem that with absolutely no prompting from the club itself – keen to avoid any “we told you so” accusations – the media seem to have caught on to FC United again in a bid to highlight the shambles at Old Trafford.

This is from the Mirror’s 3pm section today:

The Glazers might have run up a huge debt at Manchester United, but finances at breakaway club FC United of Manchester go from strength to strength after a new innovation.

The club is now selling merchandise out of a caravan before their home games at Bury’s Gigg Lane and, in reference to the Old Trafford tourist trap, FC have dubbed it ‘the Megacabin’.

I’m not sure the piece changes the situation at FC United or indeed Old Trafford a great deal but seeing as though the predictions of 2005 are indeed coming to pass, it is nice that the world is being reminded that the “Red Rebels” (does anyone else f*cking hate that moniker?) are still here providing United fans with a focal point away from the near criminal fiscal incompetencies at M16 0RA.
