Chorlton Burns night

Submitted by on January 27, 2011 – 9:36 amOne Comment

People across the world are toasting Robert Burns this week, with traditional haggis suppers to mark the anniversary of the radical Scottish poet’s birth.

In Manchester a Burns supper is being held on the afternoon of Sunday, January 30, at Chorlton Irish Association Club on High Lane.

In addition to haggis, neeps and tatties – and a few wee ‘drams’ – there’ll be live music and speeches, possibly including an address from the Morning Star’s John Millington.

Sunday’s event in Chorlton runs from 2-6pm.
