Members back Newton Heath move

Submitted by on April 27, 2010 – 8:43 amNo Comment

Following FC United’s general meeting the club’s members backed rule changes that will make the move to Newton Heath more possible.

For full information on what this entails, buy A Fine Lung issue 3 to read the interview (careful…) with Adam Brown and his smelly fingers. The publication is available from the Working Class Movement Library in Salford. Email us at the usual address for details.

From the FC website:

The FC United of Manchester 2010 General Meeting was held at The Manchester College, Openshaw Campus on Sunday 25th April.

Members heard presentations on the club’s progress and stadium development. The Board thanked supporters who had volunteered their time during the 2009/10 season.

We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped out on Sunday and ensured the smooth running of the meeting.

Minutes of the meeting will shortly be available on the members’ secure area of the website.

The Board would like to thank all the members who voted either at the meeting, by post or proxy.

The results of the Rule Change are:

For 1,030
Against 3
Spoilt Ballot 1

The results of the Resolution are:

For 124
Against 502
Abstain 2

The results of the Members’ Vote are:

Agree 589
Disagree 29
Abstain 10
