Conn on United going back to Newton Heath

Submitted by on April 21, 2010 – 9:43 pmNo Comment

The Guardian have finally done an article on FC United’s plans for a return to where it all began in Newton Heath.

David Conn, who could be due some royalties from us, has written it and he also mentions the green and gold campaign (although he stops short of suggesting MUST are responsible for making FC’s ground a possibility. They have however played a part in getting rid of that ash cloud, with all the wind created by their scarf twirling).

I can’t cut and paste properly for some reason so if you want to read it you will have to go to this link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2010/apr/21/fc-united-supporter-owned-clubs

For those who can’t be arsed it says summat like:

FC United homage to history as they prepare for future at Newton Heath
The club, formed in protest at the Glazers’ leveraged buy-out of Manchester United, are to build their own ground
