How we die today

Hospitals don’t want their mortality stats adversely affected.
I waited for a minute or two, expecting to see the rise and fall of the chest again, hear that grating intake of breath. But there was nothing.

When we really shook em up

Wembley, or Wembly as city fans refer to it as. Another trip beckons. Now I’ve been asked to pen a few words from my quill about Wembley memories. This is because I’m an old un and was there when the KO was held up due to a white horse on the pitch.

The wrong kind of internets apparently

Some of you may have noticed some difficulties getting onto the site recently, we’ve been having a few problems behind the scenes as our commodore 64 no longer seems to be up to the task.

Members back Newton Heath move

Following FC United’s general meeting the club’s members backed rule changes that will make the move to Newton Heath more possible.

For full information on what this entails, buy A Fine Lung issue 3 to read the interview (careful…) with Adam Brown and his smelly fingers.

Life to a ‘T’

What is currently grinding my gears is the inability of the majority of the media to pronounce the letter “t”. You’re worse than a boss, you’re a bosses’ man…

Gill apologists. Yes, you can reread that in case you think your mincers are taking you around the corner. Gill apologists. It’s been put out to us that really, he’s not such a bad fella. He’s been put in an unenviable position but really, and underneath it all, he’s a decent bloke with the underwritten inference that it’ll all be right in the end and we’ll say “Oh David, you silly person fancy getting yourself embroiled in all that. Glad to have you back though now the war is won.”

It is unfathomable to so, so, so many reds why Gill, the principal glazer apologist, should be afforded anything other than what should come the way of wartime collaborators.

Capitalism: a love story

I was afforded the luxury of a Friday afternoon off so I went to see Michael ‘Ian Storey’ Moore’s ‘Capitalism: a love story’ at the pictures. It’s a fine film and you should take your pants down to the Cornerhouse* this week to see it. It’s a two hourer as you’d expect from the rotundy one but it gets you there. I cried twice near the end but then again I’m a big blubberer when it comes to people fighting back.

Rider Brow

I remember a few years ago noticing the deep, ‘dum, dum, dum’ of the bass on Match Of The Day theme tune. After obviously listening to it for years I’d never noticed it but once …
